Energy Efficiency & Structural Insulated Panels
Studios by Stanley utilizes structural insulated panels, or SIPs,in the construction of all their studios. SIPs are a high performance building system for residential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB). OSB is a vital structural part of the panel, making the panels superior to commonly-used construction materials. SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective.

Energy Efficient
Excellent R-Values
- Require up to 50% less energy to heat and cool
-
Significantly quieter indoor environment
- Panels are constructed of EPS (expanded polystyrene) for the insulating core, which has an R-Value of 4, per inch of foam
- Airtight and a full 360-degree thermal envelope with floor, walls and roof
Timely Installation with SIPs
-
Build 30% faster than other methods-reduction of frame-in time allowing accelerated interior finish
- Minimally 2 1/2 times stronger than stick frame construction
-
Wind rating up to 200mph (optional construction package)
